DraMagic! will once again be collaborating with Hart Family Farm to bring kids age 6-14 

a unique theater-on-the-farm summer camp experience!

Our 14 Summer Campers (age 5-12) have been hard at play for the first 5 weeks of summer creating a fabulous, farm-based rendition of the Peter Pan story - creatively set in the nooks and crannies of Hart Family Farm in Lyons, Colorado. This is sure to be a magical experience for your whole family. Get tickets while they last!

WHERE?

Hart Family Farm

A lush property cradled by the St Vrain river at the end of Apple Valley Road in Lyons. There is a play gym, wild land to explore, lots of enclosures and fields where the sheep, horses, ducks, bunny, cats & dogs roam, and many interesting nooks and crannies for inquisitive, creative adventurers to explore and create in.   

SUMMER CAMP FEES

Fees are a sliding scale of $240-$330/week ($16-22/hour) | $1440 - $1980 for the full 6 weeks.


DEPOSIT

A non-refundable $375 deposit is required to reserve your place in the program. (This covers the 1st week's tuition + a $45 materials fee.) 

Theater Arts Program and Summer Play


2 Age Groups:  6-10 years and 11-14 years


The program will incorporate a wide range of theater skills, including acting, singing, dancing, prop- and costume-making and set-building, stage performance, and more!

It will culminate in an end-of-summer performance and community celebration on Hart Farm.

What does a Day of Theater-on-the-Farm Summer Camp Entail?

Our days are filled with a natural flow from daily farm chores, structured theater games and rehearsal, free-play and picnicking to hanging by the river!

- ANIMAL HANDLING AND CARE - horses, sheep, poultry and rabbits daily care (skills will be age specific).

- NATURE EXPLORATION - Along the St Vrain river, Hart Farm includes a unique wetland environment and is a wonderland for the imagination.  

- FREE PLAY, SUMMER FUN - Play in the creek, swimming in the river or relaxing in the hammock for a peaceful and restorative time.  

- THEATER GAMES - Our professional actors & directors Esther van Zyl and James Hart will share their skills for participants to develop their acting craft and create an inspired performance together staged in the natural settings of the farm and surrounding areas.

- COSTUMES AND STAGECRAFT - designing and creating costumes, props, set pieces, scenery, sound design,  and other technical aspects of producing a play. 

- SINGING AND DANCING - There will be music, including song and dance numbers, woven into our performance. 

- PERFORMANCE!!!  With a supportive community audience, participants will share what they have created together in a magical summer afternoon performance.
